  1. Joyce Garnett Says:

Where can I find out information on activities for the youth of Landford

    • John Martin Says:

Hi Joyce, Not sure whether my fellow website master replied to you, but the Landford Community Partnership did try on three separate occasions to get someone interested in setting up a Youth Club in Landford. The demand is probably there, but the difficulty was finding parents willing to assist. There is a Youth Club connected with the Methodist Church that meets Friday evenings, and that is held in Landford every other third week. There are also clubs held at the Trafalgar School in Downton, and facilities in Laverstock. Both of these are run by the Wiltshire Council Youth Officer for this area. Sorry but I don’t have any up to date contacts. Hope this helps. Regards, John.

    Thanks
Did chat with Merv but he didn’t know details apart from scouts and girl guides but again no contact numbers. Wonder if you have a contact number re above and the YC at the Methodist Church?
    Thanks Joyce

    • John Martin Says:

Hi Joyce, sorry taken so long to reply but didn’t notice you had sent another comment. For Guiding, suggest contact Carol Knight on 01794 390627 who will have other contacts depending on age group. For scouting try John Heagren on 01794 884102. I don’t have the Methodist Youth contact but suggest the Minister (Stella Long) on 01794 512387 who will give you the details. What you really need is the Village Directory, available for free at Landford Stores. We are about to produce the 2013 version, due in April. this will be delivered to every house in surrounding area. Hope this helps.
